Inspire SolidThinking

Create light-weight, structurally efficient concepts

SolidThinking Inspire enables design engineers, product designers, and architects to create and investigate structurally efficient concepts quickly and easily. Traditional structural simulations allow engineers to check if a design will support the required loads. Inspire enhances this process by generating a new material layout within a package space using the loads as an input. The software is easy to learn and works with existing CAD tools to help design structural parts right the first time, reducing costs, development time, material consumption, and product weight.

The Design Process

Sketch or Import

Part 1: Sketch or Import

Inspire allows users to sketch 2D profiles that can be pushed and pulled into solids, or to import CAD data from other software. All major CAD packages are supported.

Part 2: Defeature

Use Inspire's built in geometry simplifications controls to defeature the part and assign a design space.
Model Setup

Part 3: Model Setup

Use Inspire's intuitive tools to add contacts, joints, and fasteners, then assign materials and loading conditions.
Shape generation

Part 4: Shape Generation

Inspire will use the design space and supplied loading conditions to generate the ideal material layout.
Shape Refinement

Part 5: Shape Refinement

Using the PolyNURBS toolset, wrap optimization results with NURBS geometry.
verify performance

Part 6: Verify Performance

Inspire's built in linear static and normal modes analysis help to visualize and verify part performance.
